Different countries, different expectations with the words E Bike. In Australia most of us would expect this to be an e pushbike. I was a little surprised to see both the size of the bike and no pedal action happening. D’oh I get it now 🤦‍♀️.

You have to coat your tents with Rain Guard. No tent is waterproof unfortunately

did you have to weld gussets onto the rear to get it to align? I used to have a R51, I loved it but it was totalled. The rear was a bitch to align after lifting. After I lost it I ended up with a Frontier pickup.

My daughter took me on a spa day, where they had these cocoons hanging from the ceiling. They were lovely and comfy for a nap but i really wouldn't want to try and spend a night in one!

camping in the UK is basically Glamping. No Bears, Snakes, Wolves, Badgers. Basically a petting zoo.

I would never ever buy a tent that didn’t have a built in trap for the floor as these kinds of tents also provide water proofing up to 8" to 10", which if your using a heater /stove especially in cold weather you will want water to stay out of the tent. The heat will melt anything with a foot/meter or so. Also it is just not safe health wise. Just what is underneath you. I just love snakes in my bed. Scorpions too. At least use a rake. If being absolute tough guy mode, why bother with a tent, just use a blanket. I myself prefer a good hemlock or spruce tree that goes to the ground. With a 50 -100 years old tree there is usually 3-4 feet down from what you see. I lived this way for 6 months. Not a rain drops or snow flake every touched. No wind except above - peaceful to me.

I offer this up.All things being equal, fabric covered drain tile around the tent in conjunction with a heavy duty waterproof tarp and you could float your dome, spray it with insulation foam and you use the dome to minus -50 C. No kidding I’ve done it. Your nemesis seems to be water. I know you know all about expedition gear, and I do like a guy that knows what he is doing, and tries it with the cheapest stuff ever made. Sorta anti-camping gear. Funny & interesting. Love it. As a doc I think a decent tent and trap to flee (drama I know) to in case of emergency would be a good idea. Gotta watch out for pneumonia, burns, and curl your fingers more when using your knife. And you’re an amazing chuck-wagon cook.

Is using a tarp layer not bushcrafty enough? Or painting the whole thing with sealer....it looked so great...glad you didnt sleep, it would have eaten you alive!
